YOUR TEMPERAMENT , WHEN INDUCED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHAT'S THE RESULT?

If the Holy Spirit-Controlled temperament does not have weaknesses, instead it has nine all-encompassing strengths......Any temperament filled with the Holy Spirit, whether SANGUINE, CHOLERIC, MELANCHOLY, or PHLEGMATIC, is going to manifest these nine spiritual characteristics called "THE FRUIT OF TE SPIRIT".

Spirit-filled Christians will have their own natural strengths, maintaining their individuality, but they will not be dominated by their natural weaknesses. The nine characteristics of the spirit can transform those weaknesses.

All of these characteristics - love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (self-control) are illustrated in the life of Jesus Christ, the supreme example of the spirit-controlled man........
.......These characteristics represent what God wants each of His children to be...........they are not the result of our own human effort but the supernatural result of the Holy Spirit controlling every area of life.

.........your behaviour indicates whether you are filled with the spirit.........a good test of whether you are filled with the spirit is how you act under pressure........When you face the trials and pressures of life with love, joy, peace, thanksgiving and rejoicing that has to be the Holy Spirit.
This is particularly true in the home, for what we are at home is what we really are.........if you are not controlled by the Holy Spirit at home, you are not controlled by the Holy Spirit.

(Excerpts from SPIRIT-CONTROLLED TEMPERAMENT - by Tim LaHaye)

EVERYDAY CHRISTIANITY

Psalms 31:19

This verse says in AMP version, "Oh how great is your goodness which You have laid up for those who fear, revere and worship You, goodness which You have wrought for those who trust and take refuge in You before the sons of men".

God favors and shows His goodness He has kept to those who reverence Him. God does not want us to only fear and revere Him in a Christian setting but also at work, on the street, in the market, at school etc. He takes pleasure in those that declare/proclaim their faith outside (i.e before men) and not in those that are scared of being rejected.

We must care more about our reputation in heaven than our reputation among men. Stand strong for God and never be ashamed or embarrassed to live the Christian life openly and boldly before other people.

Free Indeed

If you are a woman who has been hurt or abused by men, it is time to be loosed. But, you ask, "What do i do?" How can you break free?

First you need to isolate the problem from the gender. You need to understand that all men are not the same. Isolating the problem brings healing. When you isolate your problem, you put it in quarantine and forbid it to infect all areas of your life. When you isolate it, you stop the enemy from using it to rob you of good moments in the presents because of bad moments in the past.

Second, you must allow God's love to pierce through the pain. It must be God's love first, no man's, because God's love is the only love that is perfect enough to pass your stringent test. His love is perfect and will cast out fear (see 1 John 4:18). His love will restore the opportunity for the little girl in you to have a loving relationship with a father who will not fail. Love is God's gift given against pain. You can come right now and lay your head on His strong breast and be healed. There is no molestation in God. He will not abuse you. You can trust Him. It is with Him that you can learn to unleash the love that you have locked up.

But it must not stop  with God. When you are whole, you will be able to love others, even others who are imperfect with flaws, without having flashbacks and associating today with yesterday. Out of the wholeness of your relationship with Jesus, you can regain the courage to experience love and life with others. It is a born-again experience. it is freedom. It is God raising or nurturing a woman who is wrestling with little girl issues. It is a chance to  do it over again and this time get it right.

Out of the wellsprings of her relationship with the heavenly father, she may be able to mend the bridges and repair the damages that have caused dysfunction to develop in her natural relationships. The wholeness that is reconstructed through her relationship with the father helps her to understand, appreciate, and develop a comfort zone with men.  Beyond having a point of reference that dispels the mystique of the masculine personality, she also has a comfort zone in prayer that is less suspicious and more faith-filled.

One of the greatest things that we are afforded as Christians is the opportunity to receive restoration in our areas of depletion. Thank God that we have a Lord who can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15)!  He is able to minister to the voids in us. This ministry brings us to wholeness. That wholeness in turn makes it possible to live as if the brokenness had never occurred.

May the HOLY SPIRIT minister to you dear!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW DO YOU TREAT YOUR FAITH?

I love classic cars........It is a sad thing that many rare cars are restored but then never used for their intended purpose. In other words they are not driven. Often when people do remove them from storage, they trailer these mechanical marvels to shows, set them on the ground, surround them with ropes to keep people away, and then reinforce their security efforts by adding signs that say Do Not Touch..............
As much as this hideaway mentally happens in the world of car restoration, it is even apparent when i come across people who own fine china and crystal stemware. These items, made for the sole purpose of being a platform for food and a container for liquids, are usually being tucked away and saved for those dinners when only the most distinguished guests come to visit. Sadly, in most cases i have seen, no guests who enter these homes are ever extraordinary enough to rate bringing out the really good stuff. More often than not,...........finally make their appearance on a dinning table....when these expensive pieces are sold at an estate sale.

................................................... I have found that tooo ooften faith is treated in much the same fashion as classic cars, fine china...............It is trotted out on Sunday morning, as well as sometimes during Christmas and Easter, on special and religious occasions, and then carefully tucked away..................And even in those times, faith is rarely seen in actions, words, excitement, or charity. Thus faith seems to have Do Not Touch signs hanging all over it and is stored away with the idea of "saving it for the day that Christ comes to dinner".....................

.......Christian heroes live their faith each day, displaying it whenever they can and taking it to laces others don't dare go. Heroes realize their faith isn't perfect, but that doesn't keep them from putting it out there to show people how much it means to them.........What sets them apart is that they took their faith out of the closet and into the world. They didn't rope it off and put up Do Not Touch signs, nor did they save it for special guests or special occasions.

YOUR POTENTIAL AND THE NEXT GENERATION

To live for today is shortsighted; to live for tomorrow is vision................ Several years ago, i was invited to speak at a church conference in Gary, Indiana, on a topic of discovering your purpose in life. Before i was introduced, the host invited a gentleman to share briefly on the establishment of an educational institution that had distinguished itself in that community. An unassuming, middle-aged gentleman stepped forward and began to share a story that pierced my soul. He told of how is mother had failed in an attempt to abort him as an unborn child, and he had ended up living in foster homes all over the city for many years. He emphasised how he had dreamed of providing an environment in which young people could grow and learn so that they would not have to suffer what he had experienced. He introduced to the audience the school he had founded and established - a school that had become one of the leading academic institutions for high school  student in that city.

Imagine if his mother had been successful. She would have killed a school. Despite his past and his less-than-ideal heritage, this dreamer rose above his circumstances and maximized his potential, which is now benefiting generations to come.

............Obeying God's will for your life and fulfilling His purpose is a personal decision, but not a private one because your sphere of influence is much greater that your private world. - Excerpts from MAXIMIZING YOUR POTENTIAL (The Keys to Dying Empty) by Late Dr. Myles Munroe.

Don't Let Regrets Replace Your Dreams

Regret looks back. Worry looks around. Vision looks up.
Life can be understood backward, but it must be lived forward. If past history were all that mattered, librarians would be the only successful people in the world. The past should only be viewed with gratitude for the good things. So look backward with gratitude and look forward with confidence. Your past is the start of your fresh start..............To succeed, you must be willing to shed part of your previous life.
